Tips from the experts at AA Global Printing

As trade shows and event marketing have come to a grinding halt during these unprecedented times, it’s more imperative than ever to find alternatives to keep your sales teams informed. Providing them with the appropriate sales and marketing materials for them to be able to successfully do their job remotely is key. Many businesses are using brochures and other educational materials to keep their own teams informed, as well as to send to potential customers in place of in-person informational sessions. However, creating a brochure that is engaging, and won’t end up in the junk pile can be challenging. We’re here to give you a few helpful pointers that will set your brochure apart, and provide you with the global print services to make it happen!

Determine Your Objective- And Stick to it!

Understanding your goal and the main purpose of creating the brochure is the first, and perhaps the most important step. What are you hoping to achieve with the brochure? What’s the message and tone you’re aiming for? What’s the ultimate result that you’re hoping to accomplish? These are all crucial questions to ask yourself and get answered before you even put pen to paper and think about the design. Make sure that whatever the objective is, it’s clearly conveyed and consistent throughout the brochure.

Consider Your Audience

Understanding your target audience, and how they’ll perceive the information will help to create a successful brochure. If you’re sending it to repeat customers, it may look a little different than sending it to brand new clientele who may not be as familiar with your brand. Keep this in mind throughout the design process.

Choose a Color Scheme & Fonts

Once you’re ready to start designing, you’ll want to keep your brand image in mind. Will you choose to stick with your company colors? If you’re going outside the palette of your brand’s colors, maybe it’s to convey a certain feeling. Different colors can convey different messages; For example, blue may show trust and power, while orange represents optimism and enthusiasm. You’ll want to keep your color scheme to 2 complementary colors and 1 neutral for cleanliness. It’s easy to get carried away when it comes to colors, and fonts, too. You want to attract your audience, but not overwhelm them. Pick a font that’s easy to read, and strategically use sizing and effects such as bolding and larger text to highlight important information in the text.

Quality Materials

Now that you’ve put the time and effort into designing an effective brochure, investing in quality materials for printing your brochure is a must. Thin or flimsy paper or weak ink can negatively impact the effectiveness of your brochure and the message.
